International Day of Climate Action, sponsored by 350.org, was on October 24, 2009. Events happened all over the world that day - in over 180 countries. Many towns and villages all over Vermont participated. Bells rang out, to sound an alarm about the climate crisis, in churches and town halls in these 20 towns: Barre, Bennington, Bethel, Brandon, Burlington, Charlotte, East Corinth, Essex Center, Forest Dale, Greensboro, Hartland, Killington, Montpelier, Northfield, Norwich, Randolph, Swanton, Thetford, Tunbridge and Vershire.
