Vermont Interfaith Power and Light seeks to educate faith communities and individuals about the threat that global warming presents to Creation and Earth, and to engage communities of faith in promoting energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy as a solution. The goal of the organization is to move Vermont's faith communities toward sustainable energy use and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, while living out our covenant with the Creator.
Low Carbon Diet: A 30 Day Program to Lose 5,000 Pounds

Families and individuals can significantly reduce their carbon emissions and help solve the problem of global warming.  One way to reduce emissions that has proven to be  successful is to work together in groups called "EcoTeams" of five to eight households using a workbook called "Low Carbon Diet: A 30 Day Program to Lose 5,000 Pounds".  Members of each EcoTeam share ideas and support each other in making lifestyle changes while having fun together.

Vermont Interfaith Power & Light encourages members of congregations to form EcoTeams and use the workbook.  A leader from Vermont Interfaith Power & Light can visit and give an introduction to the workbook and help organize EcoTeams, if a congregation would like this.
