Support VT Interfaith Power & Light (VTIPL) -- Your Help Needed!
VTIPL depends largely on donations from faith/spiritual communities and individuals for the funds needed to do our work. Please help by making an end-of-year donation! The donation is tax-deductible - VTIPL is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Some people will be receiving a letter in the mail, but we only have email addresses for many on the newsletter list. The letter will soon be emailed to those who receive this newsletter. You can donate now online here.

Deep Change for Climate Justice Keynote Address
The Keynote address which Sherri Mitchell gave at our Deep Change for Climate Justice conference in October is now posted on VTIPL's website. It's about 32 minutes long. To skip the earlier parts of the morning session and get to the keynote, slide to about the 48.5 minute mark. Here's the link.

Merchants of Doubt Film Showings
VTIPL will continue to show this excellent documentary in 2017. Several showings are being arranged, but the dates aren't set yet. We hope to have more details in the January newsletter. Be in touch if you'd like to have a showing in your community -- send VTIPL an email.

Green Mountain Monastery Wreath Sale - Last Call!
The Sisters at Green Mountain Monastery in Greensboro, VT are again making and selling wreaths, made from sustainably harvested balsam from trees on their land and neighbors' land. The decorated 20-inch wreaths are $25 plus shipping. If you're interested in a wreath, order today! To order a wreath, send an email or call them at 802-533-7056.

Standing Rock Sioux Tribe's Statement
The statement by Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Chairman Dave Archambault II, released after the Army Corps of Engineers decided not to grant the easement for the Dakota Access Pipeline, is heartfelt and hopeful. We are grateful for the Vermonters who went to North Dakota to support the tribe and to those who donated.

We Were Made for These Times
