Vermont Interfaith Power & Light

A faith-based response to global warming

VTIPL Programs

Energy Audits

One of the ways VTIPL helps congregations is by providing energy audits (also called energy assessments) of houses of worship and other religious buildings.  The service is free to congregations that request this assistance, and VTIPL asks each participating congregation to commit to acting on the recommendations to improve the energy efficiency of their religious building.  Click here for the form to request an energy assessment; send an email to info@vtipl.org for more information.

Low Carbon Diet EcoTeams

VTIPL is helping individual members of faith communities reduce the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions they produce in their homes, workplaces, and through transportation.  VTIPL conducts workshops for “EcoTeams” (groups of 5 – 8 households) on using the workbook, Low Carbon Diet: A 30 Day Program to Lose 5000 Pounds.  To find out more, contact VTIPL’s workshop leader, Wes Sanders at: WESandEcoTeam@gmail.com

Worshops and Speakers

VTIPL Board member(s) and/or Staff conduct workshops and speak to faith communities either during or after worship services, during denominational meetings, or at other times.  Please contact VTIPL to schedule, discuss, and make arrangements for a speaker or workshop (info@vtipl.org).
