Following the Presidential inauguration on January 20, 2017, portions of the website for the Environmental Protection Agency were shut down or made invisible. Out of a concern that valuable information concerning the impacts of climate on health issues, friends of the environment have downloaded and shared a number of those posts. Leading Action on Climate: Tools for Faith Communities

As a follow-up to the workshop on Lake Champlain, workshop leader Barry Lampke has prepared a summary of the conversation that session generated. The article includes steps that individuals and communities can take to work toward a culture of clean water. It can be found here: Clean Water Partnership. Barry also points to the website of the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission for more suggestions of steps people can take.

All Souls Interfaith Gathering's Center for Earth Ministry (CEM) and ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain have established a new partnership that is working on meaningful system change to create a culture of clean water.

Rev. Dr. Jim Antal's Keynote Address


VTIPL's 2014 conference, "Renewing Our Energy: People of Faith and Spirit Empowered to Act," was held on September 27 at Grace Congregational Church in Rutland.  The Rev. Dr. Jim Antal was the Keynote Speaker Rev. Antal is Conference Minister and President of the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ, and is a climate activist. His address was on the issue of divestment for faith communities and can be viewed at Keynote Address 2014.

In the fall of 2013, students at Middlebury College interviewed members of Vermont Interfaith Power and Light's board. The result was a group of videos about our work. They can be viewed on You Tube.

Stephanie Kaza Addresses VTIPL's Fall Conference


On November 16, 2013, VTIPL sponsored a Conference held at First Congregational Church in Burlington, with the theme "Facing Climate Chaos with Hope and Action: Empowering People of Faith and Spirit."

Dr. Stephanie Kaza, author and Director of UVM's Environmental Studies Program, was our keynote speaker. Her address, titled "Sustaining Our Effort: Climate Work as Practice Field" was filmed by CCTV Public Access Channel (Channel 17) and can be viewed on line by following the link below..
